Help Mr. C Rebuild His Home

Hi Capitol View Family,

This fundraiser is on behalf of Mr. C, our beloved neighbor and an elderly legacy resident. We are simply referring to him as Mr. C to protect his privacy. Mr. C suffered a catastrophic fire in his home almost two years ago, just before the beginning of the Covid crisis. The insurance company partially paid on his homeowner's policy and Mr. C hired an unscrupulous "contractor". This person absconded with half of the payout after leaving Mr. C's home in the state you see in the photo, only completing a re-roofing of the property and a questionable re-wiring of the home, accounting for approximately 25% of the needed repairs. Mr. C cannot continue to live in these dire conditions. The demo has left him with no working electricity, no insulation, harmful construction dust and debris. He has been facing health challenges that are only compounded by having to live in this uninhabitable environment.

Mr. C needs to be able to relocate to safe accommodations while his property is being renovated. The funds raised here will be to assist him with paying rent for temporary housing, cleanup and living expenses for the next few months. Also, to assist with the care of Mr. C's beloved companion, his dog.
