We are Nora and Dan, two 6th form students organising a 100km relay with our friends, teachers and family on the 16th of November from Thatcham to Bath along the towpaths to raise money for BBOWT. They do invaluable work for nature recovery to ensure that future generations can live in a wonderful world full of animals and plants. The charity manages several sites across the three counties making great impact on improving biodiversity. "The water vole is Britain’s fastest declining mammal" and data suggests that "water vole presence had declined by 30% between 2006 and 2015 across England and Wales." These creatures are really important and other species benefit from their activities, as they help control the growth of plants. Thanks to BBOWT's work, the number of water voles has increased in the local area. This is just one of the very important projects they have to help increase biodiversity.
(All donations go directly to BBOWT)
We could reach our goal if 200 people donated only £5! Please help these cute creatures who rely on us if you can!
- £58 could fund the purchase of vaccine to vaccinate badgers against bovine TB.
- £125 could fund the purchase of 5 bow saws to create valuable coppice habitat on a nature reserve.
- £200 could fund a GPS device to locate and map rare orchids.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
