My name is Miles Egan. My family started in Nothern Montana, but has since spread around the United States and around the world. I am posting on GoFundMe to help cover the expenses necessary to bring my family back to Northern Montana from Gillette Wyoming, Richmond Virgina, Atlanta Georgia, Columbus Ohio, Okinawa Japan, and Honolulu Hawaii, so that my family may mourn and grieve together the tragic loss of my cousin Ciara Fletcher, age 26.
The following are some testimonials from members of my family.
Laurie Fletcher, mother of the deceased: I've never experienced pain like this but knowing that Ciara is with Jesus will get me and my family through losing her. Our daughter has suffered from depression for so long and she just wanted to leave this world and leave her pain behind. She finally had the courage to take her own life on Tuesday morning. I've prayed so hard for her, that she would find her place in this world and love herself the way we all did. I prayed that she would accept Jesus and that he would protect her and surround her with love. I know she was a believer and she is in heaven now. She was so beautiful, inside and out, but she had a hard time seeing it. She had an electrifying smile that would light up the world.
Jordan Fletcher, brother of the deceased: My older sister Ciara passed away October 27th, 2015, Tuesday morning. Growing up I never really had friends but I always had her to torment and vice versa so I was ok. I don't know how to be the oldest.. I'm glad I was able to go do what she loved most while I visited her in Oak Harbor, Washington for the two months and ride horses and see her just be herself.. We shared a hug that lasted 5 minutes and we wept together.. why would you give up on me? I was happy driving the 3000 miles to see you because that's all we have is time and you're worth my time. You're beautiful and you have a huge heart, I'd know because I did all I could to make you see life the way I do, why give up when you can just spend the rest of it living to help others? Why not stare yourself in the mirror and see what I see?
Lisa Egan, aunt of the deceased: Heartbroken. We lost a really beautiful part of our family on Monday. My niece Ciara battled depression for such a long time and now she will suffer no more. She is with The Lord. If you know someone who is depressed, wrap your arms around them and LOVE them. Depression is not something you just shake off. Some come out of it and others don't. We are all different. We all loved you so much Ciara.
A contribution to this GoFundMe campaign will allow my family to share the burden of grief, agony and anguish amongst each other as we mourn the heartbreaking loss of our beloved daughter, sister, and cousin, Ciara Fletcher.
