“T” Strong
Donation protected
My dad, “T” (Thad) Ward, is and always has been the source of funding for our family. He and my mom, Melanie, started their landscaping business many years ago and have provided for their family since then through alot of hard work and determination.
Recently, “T” was admitted to the hospital due to a fistula that had been causing pain. While in the hospital, he was noted to have a mass in his colon as well as multiple enlarged lymph nodes and other enlarged organs. “T” was taken quickly for surgery to resolve the fistula, which made it impossible to do a colonoscopy at that time. After culturing the tissue from surgery, “T” was determined to have Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacterium Genavense, which is a disease that causes systemic infection and has to be treated with 6-12 months of antibiotic therapy.
In addition to this diagnosis, “T” has been told that he most likely has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, which has compromised his immune system and allowed this organism to thrive and spread. An inguinal lymph node has been removed for biopsy to confirm the lymphoma diagnosis since a colonoscopy still is not an option. After following up with his surgeon today, “T” was told that due to his compromised immune system, his wounds are not healing and that he has to be out of work for at least the rest of the year and that he is to follow up with oncology as well.
Along with your prayers, we are asking that you please give as able to help them with living and medical expenses, as there are still many unanswered questions. “T” has always helped others out when asked and has done nothing but hard work since the business began. In addition to being a business owner, a source of income and a hard worker, he’s also a husband, daddy and papa. Facing an unknown path of healing as well as possible cancer treatments, the financial stability and ability to maintain the basic needs of home and utilities, as well as the ability to pay for medical bills and treatments, has become a source of increasing anxiety since “T” is now longer able to work and help Melanie maintain the business.
As his daughter, along with the rest of their family, please help us to help them. We covet your prayers, your donations as well as any other assistance. Thank you❤️
