Some of you may already know, some this may come as a huge shock.... Please, read this with a positive mind. 

A couple of months ago, my nephew Garrett Stalker, was complaining of chest pains.  His mum, Kate, took him in to be checked.  The Dr did some tests and most of these tests came back "abnormal."  Garrett was then referred to a pediatrician.  From there, he has been referred to The Children's Hospital in Vancouver. 

We received news this morning that Garrett has Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma.  The doctors are very confident that with the treatment they have chosen, Garrett will be cancer free in no time.  He will undergo roughly 6 months of chemotherapy and will be commuting back and forth to Vancouver to do so.

Anyone who knows Garrett, knows he is completely obsessed with his hair...The thought of not having it is the one thing that scares him the most!!!!  He has already bought himself a Canucks toque!!  He is so positive and continues to crack jokes and make everyone smile, as for him that is more important than anything!

As you can imagine the costs that are associated with this whole process will be extremely expensive.  With this shocking news, the last thing this family needs to worry about is the financial pressure.

So I am starting a fundraiser to help at this time of adversity.  My heartfelt wish is that we can raise as much as possible.  Any contribution you can make will be gratefully accepted!
