Let's all rally behind Sam, who needs our support through her journey with Leukemia for housing and unexpected medical expenses.
My wife Samantha, the funniest, happiest, smartest, loveliest person I know has touched the lives of everyone she comes in contact with. She's a wonderful wife and mother to our three children and she's the love of my life. Unfortunately, late last year, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. Thankfully, she has been accepted into Stanford University's Cancer Center for treatment. Stanford is the most comprehensive treatment center she could be at. Sam has started a new Journey through stem cell (bone marrow) transplant this month. Tuesday, May 5 was the day of the transplant, which will be her new birthday. She will stay in the hospital for around 4 weeks, until she recovers from the radiation and chemo therapy. Once released, she will have to stay for about 3 months within 30 minutes of Stanford with a 7/24 caregiver. Unfortunately, Stanford is 3 hours from where we live in Merced, so we need to keep alternate housing near the hospital for those visiting and her and her caregiver during her recovery. These costs have created quite a burden on our family. This fundraiser is to raise money for those housing expenses, gas, unexpected medical expenses, etc. that will be required for her care at Stanford. No donation is too small, it will all help. Bless all of you who can help us out.
