Our beloved "foster fail" the sweetest little cairn we know Clover (AKA Clover Wover Christmastime, aka Cloverious, aka. Chloe X-Mas, aka Clover Wagner-Barker) has been sick since we started fostering her last year. It's taken us multiple vet visits, countless tests, and a whole bunch of tears, to figure out that her liver has a porto-systemic shunt (PSS), which is something that causes abnormal blood vessels to bypass the liver and is basically pumping toxins into her sweet little body.

We are getting ready to schedule her surgery and so many folks recommended that we reach out to our communities to get a little help because this year has been really hard for us (the entire family got new jobs! we moved across the country! None of this was easy!)

Clover is a great candidate for surgery because she is young and in relatively good health (minus the liver stuff) and we are hopeful that she'll have good outcomes and be able to live and long and happy live as a Col Potter Cairn Rescue poster dog.
