Hi, my name is Daniela Miramontes and I am starting this fundraiser for my parents as we support my mom through the end of her battle with cancer.

2024 is the year that my moms battle with cancer is nearing its end. After a 6 year long battle against multiple myeloma cancer, a cancer without a cure and a slowly deteriorating quality of life, my mom is tired. My mom is the strongest person I know. She is a WARRIOR who continues to give it her all throughout the unfathomable pain. She is not a quitter but as a family and with her we have decided that she has endured enough pain. Therefore, we will listen to her body when it tells us enough is enough. This last round of salvage chemotherapy has done a lot to weaken her body and while we had so much faith and hope the future is bleak.

We have made the tough decision of not pursuing life support if that ends up being the only option we have left.

This past January she was already incubated for many days due to a sepsis infection and it was one of the most traumatic things she has had to experience. Since January 1st my mom has been in and out of the hospital and if her journey has made one thing clear is that my dad’s love toward my mom truly is unconditional and knows no bounds. He has spent every single day with her, caring for her 24/7, and being her strength. Throughout these last 6 years my parents have always figured things out financially whether that meant debt, starting a taco business, or unsolicited funds from the kindness of friends and family. However, now I’m reaching out to you all for some assistance on behalf of my parents to help ease some of the financial burden that comes with not being able to work in order to fully care for a loved one. These funds will help my family pay for the bills related to my moms remaining care and allow us to focus on giving her all of the love we have for her through the end of her journey. We don’t know how much time we have left with her but my family is ready to stand strong and get through this together.

*Those with O positive blood can only receive transfusions from O positive or O negative blood types. Type O positive blood is one of the first to run out during a shortage due to its high demand.

Hola, mi nombre es Daniela Miramontes y estoy comenzando esta recaudación de fondos para mis padres mientras apoyamos a mi mamá hasta el final de su batalla contra el cáncer.

2024 es el año en el que la batalla de mi mamá contra el cáncer está llegando a su fin. Después de una gran batalla de 6 años contra el cáncer de mieloma múltiple, un cáncer sin cura y una calidad de vida que se deteriora lentamente, mi mamá está cansada. Mi mamá es la persona más fuerte que conozco. Es una GUERRERA que sigue dándole su todo a lo largo del dolor insondable. Ella no se da por vencida pero como familia y con ella hemos decidido que ya ha soportado suficiente dolor. Por eso, escucharemos a su cuerpo cuando nos diga ya basta. Esta última ronda de quimioterapia de rescate ha contribuido mucho a debilitar su cuerpo y, aunque teníamos tanta fe y esperanza, el futuro es sombrío.

Hemos tomado la difícil decisión de no acudir soporte vital si esa termina siendo la única opción que nos queda.

Este pasado enero ya estuvo varios días incubada debido a una infección por sepsis y fue una de las cosas más traumáticas que le ha tocado vivir. Desde el 1 de enero mi mamá ha estado entrando y saliendo del hospital y si su trayectoria ha dejado algo claro es que el amor de mi papá hacia mi mamá realmente es incondicional y no conoce límites. Ha pasado todos los días con ella, cuidándola las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana, y siendo su fuerza. A lo largo de estos últimos 6 años, mis padres siempre han resuelto las cosas financieras ellos mismos. Ya sea que eso signifique deudas, comenzar un negocio de tacos o fondos no solicitados de la amabilidad de amigos y familiares. Sin embargo, ahora me dirijo a todos ustedes para pedirles ayuda en nombre de mis padres y ayudar a aliviar parte de la carga financiera que conlleva no poder trabajar para poder cuidar plenamente de un ser querido. Estos fondos ayudarán a mi familia a pagar las facturas relacionadas con el cuidado restante de mi mamá y nos permitirán concentrarnos en brindarle todo el amor que le tenemos hasta el final. No sabemos cuánto tiempo nos queda con ella, pero mi familia está lista para mantenerse firme y superar esto juntos.
