Bye Bye Boobies!

Dear friends and family -

If you know me, you know that I’m not very good at asking for help, which is why I know this ask has to come from me.

I’ve dreamt of this moment for much of my life, before I even realized top surgery was an option. Many of you know that I’ve been yearning for this for years. Leading up to this, I kept thinking that timing never worked out for me. When I had the funds to finally get surgery, I didn’t have the time to do so. And now when I have the time, I financially cannot cover these full costs.

Due to my family history of breast cancer, I purposely sought out a surgeon who specializes in oncology. And I am so grateful I made that decision. Back in April, I scheduled the earliest consultation appointment, which was in September. My surgeon and her incredible team have not only worked with my urgent timing, but also made sure I’d get breast cancer screenings and see an oncologist prior to my surgery.

During my first screenings, they found an abnormality in which I had to return for a second scan. The second scan confirmed an abnormality, which I now need to have a biopsy done ahead of my surgery. These are further costs that I was not expecting, but I am forever grateful that I chose this team and timing.

Regardless of the biopsy results - this windy road of circumstances has further confirmed that I need these things gone, ASAP!

It would mean the world to me if anyone wants to help out in any way that they’d like to. The funding will cover my medical costs, for both my biopsy and top surgery. I’m squirming as I write this; asking for help is not my thing. Any bit of contribution helps, and I appreciate you all!
