On November 9, 2021 Olivia inhaled a pinto bean. Instead of going down her throat, it lodged itself in her left lung. This led to a series of trauma from labored breathing, to cardiac arrest, to collapsed lungs and loss of oxygen to her vital organs.

 

We are praising God for small miracles. Her heart is beating on its own again, we are receiving unprecedented care at Lurie Children's Hospital, and we know that God is good.

 

We are in our darkest hour and cry out for your prayers for a miracle. Please pray for her to wake up, for her brain function to be restored, for her ability to breathe on her own, for strength for her body. Pray that this miracle shines God's glory and mercy to the world as we wait in prayerful petition for Olivia's return to us in full health.

Funds raised through this GoFundMe will go towards medical bills and costs associated with our stay at Lurie Children's Hospital. We are looking to use the funds immediately to cover expenses already incurred. Any unused money will be donated to Lurie Children's or Ronald McDonald House Charities.
