Cody’s Road to Recovery

This fundraiser was created on behalf of Cody Taylor and his family to help with the upcoming medical expenses during his recovery and rehabilitation.

 

On October 19th Cody was in a terrible ATV accident when he hit a truck while driving his side-by-side. He sustained multiple injuries, the most severe being a broken neck with C2 and C4 vertebrates fractured and a traumatic spinal chord injury that has sadly left him paralyzed from the chest down. After surgery on his neck and spinal chord; doctors believe there is a better chance of recovery than initially thought. It will be a difficult journey but we believe Cody has the strength to get through it. We are grateful he is still with us.

 

 

 

 

His fight is just beginning. He will start with daily physical therapy to strengthen his upper body in hopes to sit up on his own and move himself in and out of a wheelchair, from there rehabilitation will continue as he works hard to walk again.

 

Cody’s extensive injuries were life changing and with that he will need a lot of adjusting and support. There will be hospital and surgical expenses, physical therapy and rehabilitation costs and medical equipment such as a wheelchair and adjustable bed. Additionally serious modifications will need to be made to his home to make it more wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately this all has a high cost and Cody had no insurance. Cody’s family will be doing everything in their power and giving all they can give to make this happen, but your support is needed. We know times are tough for everyone but any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.

 

Cody is a devoted, loving father and a loyal friend with a big heart. He’s always there for his family and would literally give you the shirt off his back. He’s helped many of his friends in their times of need, now he needs you.
