Please Help Save Eddy!

On Friday, Eddy, my sister Soo's beloved feline family member stopped eating. Even when it came to water, he would vomit any water he ingested. He was lethargic and in pain. My sister Soo was very concerned and took him to the emergency vet and they hospitalized him overnight. The estimate they received was between $3907 and $5275!
They did bloodwork, x-rays, anti nausea meds, pain meds and the vets were thinking pancreatitis. Soo had already spent over $2000 for the ER.
In the midst of a financial hardship the family is going though, Soo is so commited to helping Eddy get better from the pain he is going through, even if it means choosing between helping him and her mortgage bill. It would have been another $3000 for him to spend the night in the ER. So Soo brought little Eddy home and watched him all night and took him to the regular vet in the morning.
Eddy went to the regular vet today and he spent the whole day at the vet. The vet wanted to do another bood panel that would check for pancreatitis, blood work to check his thyroid and also to check for diabetes, as his glucose levels were really high. Today's vet bill was another $1135.
Soo took Eddy home again tonight so that he could be surrounded by the 3 young girls that love him more than anything. He also has 2 feline siblings. I was able to stop by and spend some time with him tonight.
Soo will be bringing Eddy back to the vet in the morning after monitoring him at home tonight. The vet is saying that Eddy needs an ultrasound done of his abdomen, which has been quoted at $625 for the ultrasound, plus additional $111 to sedate him to keep him still to do the test, plus interpretation of results.
We know that times are difficult right now, but if there is any way you could help even a little it would mean the world to Eddy, his family, and me. He was rescued 9 years ago from a plastic bag in a dumpster and has found out what the good life is like with Soo's loving family. I love him so much and hate to see him suffering.
The vet said he is not dying, he is just really sick and can get better. We would be so grateful for any donation to Eddy's care, no donation is too small. If you are not able to help with a donation, maybe you could share his story. Thank you for taking the time to read his page.
Sending love to all of you.
