Friends, Kareem and I need your help!! A dog, “Brute,”  was attacked by another dog and pretty severely injured. His owner wasn’t able to get Brute medical help and he was going to suffer over the weekend. We couldn’t let that happen so we paid for him to see a vet and the dog has been “surrendered” to us. The vet bill was originally $1,200 which we paid yesterday. The vet called us at 6 am to let us know the injuries are much more serious and it will now be at least $4,500. We had to open a care credit card to pay this. We will be keeping Brute until he is healed then will be looking for his forever home.  We don’t know when he will be released from the vet.

 

Kareem and I just purchased a mini farm so we are hopeful that our new land can help even more animals in need over the years. Yesterday  was literally our moving day so we were moving and coordinating getting this dog some help. With that said, just purchasing a house wasn’t the best time for us to start an impromptu animal rescue.

 

I never thought we’d do this but we’re asking for donations! We want to be able to help more animals if the situation comes up again but we are in over our heads right now. We take full responsibly for this dog and we were happy to get him the help whether we can get any donations or not.

 

If anyone would be willing to donate, even a dollar, we would be incredibly grateful. This money is strictly for the vet bill incurred and nothing else.
