Szander's Medical Bill and Funeral Costs

Donation protected

This is our sweet Szander. On the night of January 16, 2023, Szander was the passenger in a horrific car accident and even with his seatbelt on, he suffered devastating injuries. Szander was intubated and brought to the hospital where he had emergent brain surgery, and was put in a medical coma. He fought hard to stay with us for days, but unfortunately, his physical injuries overcame the possibility of him coming back. Szander—who thrived on doing random acts of kindness—manages to do so even now.

His final act of kindness has been fulfilled: Saving lives through organ donation.

Szander is the kind of person to give random strangers flowers and shower his family members with hugs and affection. He's the type of person to play games with his little cousins to keep them entertained for hours, and the type of friend to stay up late just to keep you company. He's the type of person to remind others, "You are worth it."

He's an artist. A gamer. A lover of animals. An entrepreneur. More importantly, a son. A brother. A bright, bright light.

At 20 years old, Szander figured out what most people twice his age haven't—his purpose. Everything he stands for is kindness and he created a clothing brand called BeaKind that promotes just that. He valued mental health. Valued family and his friends. Valued the importance of hard work. His 2023 vision board is in his room right now, full of goals he wanted to accomplish this year.

His biggest goal was to earn enough money every month so that his Mom did not have to work as hard as she currently does.

And we want to honor his wishes through this GoFundMe.

The life-saving measures the healthcare team took to try to save Szander's life is something we are eternally grateful for even though the outcome wasn't what we prayed for. Unfortunately, Szander's Mom, Charina, left the hospital not only without a son, but with a medical bill of $289,000.

We want to take as much financial burden off of Szander's Mom, Charina, during this time, so she can focus on taking care of herself and Szander's siblings, Cyrus and Saphira.

Losing a child is unfathomable, and our family wants Charina to have this time to grieve; not to worry about hospital and funeral expenses. So if you could please consider helping with half of the expenses through this tough time, it would mean so much to the Linao-Pouv family. Any amount would help.

Rest in peace sweet Szander. We will miss you forever.
