Cancer Strikes Again - The Walker Family

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, Madison was diagnosed at the age of 26 with a very aggressive Breast Cancer. After almost a year of going through extremely difficult surgerys, chemotherapy and radiation, Madison "rang the bell" and was deemed cancer free. Every 6 months for the last 3 years she has gone for scans and testing to make sure her cancer didn't return. August 2023 came and she was due for her routine scan. When the results came in from this scan, the doctors quickly called Madison and had her seen within the next two days for an MRI as they test they just ran showed a mass growing in her lung. This result came back and it was confirmed there was a tumor growing in her right lung. Next came her lung biopsy and these results showed that Madison has metastatic breast cancer (stage 4) that has now spread to her lung. This is not curable, this is only treatable. Her doctors have sent her to Boston for a second opinion and within the next few weeks she will undergo more testing to see if she qualifies for a clinical trial. The doctors are working so hard to make sure Madison can live as long as possible.

If you didn't know, Madison is a 29 year old wife to her husband Brandon and mother to a beautiful little girl, 7.5 year old Elena.

Both Madison and Brandon have missed countless days of work, and will continue to miss work for all these necessary appointments. The financial burden they are facing is heavy, traveling back and forth to Boston, preparing for chemo and the challenges that come along, expensive hospital bills, household bills and the cost of groceries and gas.
