I am humbly asking for financial help for my friends the Moore family - Dan, Kamie, Sophie and Bo. On November 24, 2025, 18 year-old Sophie collapsed at her home in Morris, which was later diagnosed as a spinal stroke. Since then, she has been in a hospital bed at Health Science Centre in Winnipeg. She has very limited mobility and rehabilitation could be a long process. Her parents in Morris have been taking turns staying with her. In January, Sophie's Dad Dan will return to work in Morris and stay with Sophie's younger brother, Bo. Sophie's Mom Kamie will stay in Winnipeg. They have found an apartment to lease in Winnipeg for a minimum of three months, but with all the unexpected extra expenses of gas, food and housing, the expenses for the family is mounting up.
