Dan Tessler Fund: Team Tessler
Donation protected
On Valentine's Day my friend Dan Tessler underwent brain surgery to remove a benign tumor which had returned with a vengeance. Dan is a dear friend who along with his wife Stella, children Bryan, Michael and Morgan are as near to family as friends can be. Bryan is expecting his first child in April, Michael is in college and works for a local newspaper and Morgan is in her senior year in high school and has her first year at college right around the corner.
Though surgery was successful, Dan is now on a very long and rough road to recovery. He is suffering near constant headaches, memory loss and retention issues and physical instability. While medical insurance is covering the bulk of the expenses, the co pays and deductibles are simply staggering. In just the last month the Tessler family have paid $1,500 in co pays just for Dan's therapy alone. This is one small example of the expenses that are piling up.
As as the path to recovery is going to be long and rocky, Dan is not expected to be able to return to work for quite some time . All of the pressing financial burdens are on his wife Stella's shoulders alone and her income is not nearly sufficient to keep their heads above water.
Any and and all donations will be used to keep the lights on, food on the Tessler table and to pay the extensive medical expenses.
This family needs our immediate help. Whether you can spare five dollars, fifty or five hundred, every bit will help relieve the mounting financial pressure and allow Dan to focus solely on his recovery.
The Tesslers are incredible people with huge hearts and are always the first ones to step up and help a friend. It's now our turn to lend a hand to a truly deserving family in need. I ask you to join me in supporting this family and I hope you will be generous as we help relieve their financial stress so all of their energy can be focused on getting Dan back on his feet.
