The Guahbari Madrasa in Sylhet, Bangladesh, is a lifeline for a struggling community, including Rohingya refugees and local families who endure daily hardships. Many of these families work on rivers and land to survive, yet they lack access to even the most basic necessities like clean water.

The madrasa provides essential services for 250 students, many of whom are orphans, offering them food, shelter, and education. However, the conditions are dire:

There is no clean water for drinking or performing ablution (wudu), causing significant hardship for students and teachers.

The madrasa has limited space to accommodate elder students pursuing Hifz (memorization of the Qur'an) and Alimi courses (advanced Islamic studies).

There are no proper facilities for girls' classes, which is urgently needed

Our Mission

We are raising £24,000 to:

1. Build a new facility to accommodate Hifz, Alimi, and girls' classes.

2. Provide clean water access for drinking and ablution (wudu).

3. Supply books, resources, and essential materials for the students.

4. Support dedicated teachers (Ustad) with fair wages to maintain quality education.
