Sy is 22 years old, he was born in 1998 a happy healthy baby boy. At about 10 months old he was diagnosed with Dialated Cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart) he was taken to Texas Children's Hospital to wait for a heart transplant. He received his 1st heart transplant at 1yr. 1mo. He was a happy boy growing up, he loved cars and first responders. His dream was to be a State Trooper. His first heart lasted him 19 years, he received his 2nd heart transplant in 2018, this 2nd heart has not done do well as he has had a couple of bouts of rejection that really damaged the heart, the only solution is a 3rd transplant to hopefully be a better match. He was denied at the children's hospital because the don't have a way to support him with adult heart devices if the heart should get worse. We are now looking for an adult hospital with the confidence and experience if 3rd transplants in adults. We are currently waiting on responses 4 hospitals 2 hospitals in Houston 1 in Dallas and 1 in Austin. If we get more no's we will continue seeking out other opinions until we cannot fight anymore. We will be using these donations to help with whatever he needs and to get him a beautiful gift for after he gets his transplant Godwilling! With the Dr giving him a short life expectancy his mom decided to take a leave at work to spend as much possible time by his side, so money is extremely tight with only his Dad working.
