My name is Chris Holt, from Durham NC USA.
My good friend Jaala has been working in Jordan, helping to provide training to teachers, many of whom are Syrian refugees. In her travels in Jordan she has been in contact with a school comprised of Syrian refugee children, living and learning in a tent community on a farm.
They are in need of school supplies, warm clothes, and possibly a few toys to help make it through the winter season.
I will be travelling to visit Jordan on the 17th for a vacation, and will be going on a buying trip with Jaala to make a supply run for these children while I am there. Donations through this GoFundMe campaign will be withdrawn to purchase needed items while in Jordan. Specifically, we will be providing school supplies, warm winter clothes (jackets especially), and a few toys.
If you are looking for a way to make a difference this holiday season, this is a wonderful way to do it. My trip is self-funded, so 100% of the proceeds from the fundraising efforts will go towards supplies for these children.
