Syrena’s Legacy
Gofundme.com
Syrena’s young life was cut short unexpectedly on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was involved in a head on collision en route to Bayard, Nebraska near Melbeta. She was on her way home from Christmas shopping for her six year old son Cason when she died. Syrena was a 25 year old single parent. Cason will always be the true love of her life. She always said he was her whole universe.
This devastating event leaves Cason without a parent; but fortunately, he is able to remain with his maternal grandmother Jennifer Parks-who has been his full time nanny for the past three years. Cason has had his share of difficulties in his short life and has required specialized medical attention throughout his years.
Syrena was the “breadwinner” of the family, providing the sole income for the three-generational family by working as an assistant manager at the Bridgeport Taco Johns. She worked long hours and truly found her passion in taking care of her son and family financially as well as emotionally and physically. This leaves a huge financial burden with Jen and Cason. Unfortunately, Syrena did not leave a will.
At this time, funeral arrangements are pending and will be posted accordingly. Due to the nature of the accident, photos of the vehicle and scene are not allowed by the local authorities until the investigation has been closed.
Syrena was such a sweet and loving soul. If you knew her, you knew joy. She had lots of love to give and was more than eager to share it with anyone and everyone who crossed her path. Her smile could light up the room and she had a way about her that could brighten your day, even as a young child. She was a terrific mother, supportive daughter, and an incredible friend. She never met a stranger, she was happy to be with her peers and adults alike, she knew no discrimination. May we all try to live like Syrena.
Please help this family as you feel led. Syrena’s legacy will live on in her son Cason and I am honored to be able to write this in her memory. This is such a devastating situation and so close to Christmas and Thanksgiving that it hits especially hard. Pray for the family and give financially if you are able. If you are unable to donate at this time, please share so we can spread the word to help Cason and Jen in their time of need.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! Jen had requested that if you can, please include a special prayer for the other driver who was only 23 years old and survived this horrible ordeal. This is such a heavy, difficult burden to bear for many people.

The financial support from this gofundme will be used to pay for Syrena’s final expenses and to support the livelihood of her son Cason and mother Jen. They will need living and maybe counseling expenses while awaiting any possible insurance money. Any remaining balance will be used towards Cason’s future and ongoing care needs.
