Support Team Maryam (Deeba Azmath's daughter)

Update: Maryam has taken a turn for the worse.  She needs open heart surgery to get a VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) to keep her healthy until she gets a donor. Given Maryam's condition, this is a very high risk, last resort surgery with a long recovery.  

Maryam's Story:

Deeba Azmath's two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Maryam has a heart condition and was scheduled for heart surgery in December.  Unfortunately, she went into acute heart failure three days prior to her scheduled surgery, and is now no longer a candidate for surgery because her heart is very weak.

Her only option is a heart transplant and she is currently on the wait list with highest priority (status 1A).  Deeba's daughter will have to stay in Philadelphia until her transplant and recovery. The wait time for a heart is anything between a few months up to a year.

Deeba will have to relocate her family to Philadelphia from Savannah for as long as it takes.  They're looking for an apartment rental and schools for their other two kids.   As you can imagine, the expenses are enormous, and all of this is unexpected.
