SYNERGY HomeCare | Hurricane Harvey

On August 25th, 2017 the lives of tens of thousands of Southeast Texas residents were changed forever. Among those impacted were clients and employees of our seven SYNERGY HomeCare  Southeast Texas offices. Usually, the owners and their caregivers focus on assisting those whose day-to-day living needs have been impacted by age or illness. But after Hurricane Harvey made landfall, these same individuals now turned their attention to helping others in need.

The cruel irony of this catastrophic storm was that it turned many of these caregivers into care recipients. Many are managing to tend to their clients while their own homes have been flooded or worse. Still, they continue to provide care because that is what they do and it's who they are.

Hurricane Harvey has created mass destruction in Southeastern Texas. Reportedly 40,000 people's homes have been destroyed, and tens of thousands are living in shelters as their homes are uninhabitable due to excessive flooding. Harvey may end up being the costliest natural disaster in the history of the United States, due to the size and population of the area affected. The hurricane has passed but life threatening flooding continues in the Houston area.

Our goal is to raise money to help the employees and caregivers of these offices to meet their immediate needs so they can continue to serve their clients and begin to recover and heal from Hurricane Harvey.

For every dollar donated up to $25,000 on this GoFundMe Campaign, SYNERGY HomeCare  Corporate Headquarters will match $.50.

100% of all the proceeds will be distributed to the seven SYNERGY HomeCare Southeast Texas offices to benefit the clients and caregivers based on their immediate needs.
