Dear Family-

If you are receiving this e-mail it is because you are apart of my very close circle and have been an intimate part of my life. 

As you all know, the last year has been earth-shaking and life- changing for all of us, in many ways. For me, the 15 year career in theater that I have spent my entire life building has been completely shut down for one year.  I've had to make some difficult decisions this year but all in all, I can say that I am grateful to still have my health and strong work ethic. The time off has allowed me to kick into an even higher gear of rethinking, redirecting, and rebuilding my life and career.  So, after 16 successful years of living in NYC, I've decided to step out on faith once again to start a new dream and head west to Los Angeles where I will begin my career in Film/ TV, online content creation, and Voice over. I've invested much of my savings over the last year into taking my life that was once, all in the REAL WORLD, onstage, and moving onto the online/ virtual space launching my youtube channel www.youtube.com/syndeewinterstv where I've posted over 40 videos since July 2020. Having this channel has offered me more visibility for future opportunities. The response has been good, but it still takes time to grow.  
I have pretty much everything I need for my new life in LA, except one critical piece, a car. In New York City, having a car wasn't necessary because the public transit system albeit gross was very efficient. In Los Angeles, I need wheels to get everywhere.  

My birthday is coming up March 20th and I'll be celebrating 35 glorious years on this planet, and in the past, I've planned a fun activity for my friends and family to enjoy, BYOB painting, Improv Classes, an Escape room adventure. But this year, since covid has kept us apart, I feel like I would create another opportunity to create a memory.  SO, this year I've thought of a way for my friends and family to celebrate with me and help create a memorable birthday together that I continue to carry with me on my journey through life, Instead of planning a fancy dinner, I would really appreciate your gift in helping me put a down payment on a car. 

After spending HOURS researching the best option, I've narrowed my field to two options: The Toyota Rav4 or VW Tiguan

In order for me to keep the payments to something I can realistically afford ($250), I would need a down payment of $5,000. A contribution from my community would one of the most meaningful and useful gifts I could ever receive. At a time like this, I have learned to shed great parts of my ego, and rather than ask for something that I want, I've humbled myself to ask for something that I need. No contribution is too small (or too large) I appreciate your consideration and contribution in advance for making this birthday a memorable one.
