Sylvia's Battle

Sylvia has been my dearest friend of 19+ years! She is the most caring, giving, friend and you are lucky if she is in your circle. She is a wife and mother to two wonderful young boys whom she lives for and would do anything to ensure their safety and happiness.  Her family is her priority, cooking, cleaning, laundry, chauffeuring, nursing, teaching, counseling, everything mothers, and wives do for their families to function smoothly day to day without complaint all of course facing challenges along the way.
It first started in 2012 with a diagnosis of thyroid cancer!! Shock! It was said to be treatable, done and told gone. Then she was told in 2016 the Cancer was Back! Again treated and said she was fine! How does this happen to someone so young! Through it all she kept up her daily chores and never got down, her family always came first, she is a fighter! On a routine checkup due to her history, she agreed to a mammogram in addition to all the other testing. Well, guess what!! It happened again, in December 28, 2016  she was told she has Breast Cancer!   They performed a biopsy on 1-8-2017 to determine it is stage 3 estrogen-based cancer and this is gonna be a battle!  The strong woman she is, she and her family have decided to deal with this head on and beat it! She has undergone a double mastectomy and is facing 5 months of chemo theopathy then 6 weeks of radiation! Unfortunately after her mastectomy, she got a terrible infection that required an additional surgery, that has since healed and she is now doing great! Once cleared, she is hoping for reconstruction surgery of her breasts in the future!  She had her first chemo treatment on 5-17-2017 and has a long road ahead!   The bills are piling up, the cost's of this is beyond believable, why it is so expensive I don't understand, but I don't want them to focus on anything but beating this. The work at home is falling behind, and the trips to and from the hospital are frequent, boys schedule busy and Brian is doing all he can to help. He goes with her to most appointments but he has to use vaction days for pay and that is slowly  running out. Once that is gone he will still be allow to take off but unpaid !!! If you can help my dearest friend in any way it is greatly appreciated, and just know that one day it will be paid forward!  She is beyond deserving of love and kindness, she would do for anyone if and when she could. She has been handed a terrible hand currently, so, therefore I'm reaching out for her to seek some help. I can at least try to ease their burden by helping them financially.
