Our Sylvia. If you were lucky enough to know her, you know the world needed more of her. Gone too soon at just 25 years young, Sylvia Schneider was a light for so many, one that will be missed by family, friends, and an entire world who wasn’t able to have the chance to see her shine.
As Sylvia’s ashes will now be laid with her predeceased mother, Andrea Schneider, and sister, Stephanie Schneider, her only remaining family (brother, John-Michael Schneider; his partner, Stephanie Hoekstra; and Sylvia’s grandmother, Renate Schneider) can now have some peace knowing that Sylvia has been reunited with her loving family.
As is with many of those taken too soon, death feels so far away. Sylvia had no time to prepare her family for the expenses that came along with her passing, and those expenses now fall to John-Michael and Stephanie, both young adults who are struggling to cover the costs.
The total cost of $7135.25 CAD includes the cremation, visitation ceremony, funeral home services, and an urn to fit Sylvia’s, Andrea’s, and Stephanie’s ashes, allowing them to rest at peace, together.
If you can donate to help cover the finances associated with the passing of Sylvia, you will be directly supporting John-Michael and Stephanie, who are dealing with a loss so unimaginable that combined with the financial costs, it feels almost unsurpassable. Any amount of support will be greatly appreciated.
Should donations exceed the expenses outlined above, additional funds will be donated to Joseph Brant Hospital who cared for Sylvia the past three months. The staff were a great comfort to the family, and made Sylvia’s remaining time as comfortable as it could be.
With love,
John-Michael and Stephanie
