I was fortunate to have lunch with Ray Jacobs recently and he shared some personal and devastating news about Sylvia Jacobs, his wife of over 60 years.

My name is Nancy Fletcher and I have known Ray and Sylvia Jacobs for more than 35 years. I worked for Ray at two of his ad agencies and have known him to be not only an amazing boss and great friend, but have always felt a part of his family. Recently, Ray's wife was diagnosed with dementia after suffering a nervous breakdown about five years ago. Since that time, Ray has been the sole caregiver for this beautiful, intelligent and talented woman. His love for Sylvia is something to be admired. They are truly a couple who exemplifies a loving and enduring marriage. Now this debilitating disease has stolen Sylvia’s soul, heart and mind.

Unfortunately, Ray and Sylvia need your help with the combined financial and emotional stress caused by this terrible illness. They have incurred unexpected medical bills that their insurance will not cover. They are also living on a fixed income from Social Security. This is a continuing challenge since the last significant recessions and an unexpected disasterous business setback that Ray experiences when the Internet Bubble struck in 1997 through 2000. Now they deserve your help. Even though their sons, Scott and Chris, have been assisting as much as possible, Ray and Sylvia are in dire need of your help to pay mounting medical bills that were incurred when Sylvia was in a facility for over four months.
