Christmas Trip for Liam and London

I, Shay Knox, am writing this on behalf of my mother, Paulette Knox:

As some of you may know on Christmas Eve in 2022 , I tragically lost my 21-year old son, Errivonnie Matchem. To know him, was to love him. Navigating life without him has not been easy for me or his 6 siblings. Losing a child on a day that should have been filled with joy, has left us shattered. My then 10 and 8-year old son’s Liam and London found out about his death on Christmas Day. I tried to normalize the day for them by letting them open their gifts but the elephant in the room was that their brother, my son would not spend that day with them or any other. This year, I want to give my two youngest children the Christmas that was taken from them in 2022. When Vonnie passed away, I took an extended leave from work and took a hit financially. However, This Christmas, I would like to take Liam and London on a trip as I can't fathom spending the holiday in Iowa on the anniversary of Vonnie’s death. I am asking for any donations to make this happen for me and the boys. All donations will go towards airfare, hotel, car rental and other expenses. I appreciate you all for being on this journey with us as we continue to cycle through the stages of grief.
