As many of you know, I am married to a Chinese man, Zhou Xie (Joe) and we live in China. I have been teaching in China since 2001 and will still be teaching this year at Nanjing University of Finance & Economics. During this time I have had no medical insurance.
In November and December 2014 I contracted a bacterial disease while in Cambodia. I was hospitalized for 3 weeks in Phnom Penh. More recently, problems have arisen with my ankle and heart.
The combination of these events has used up all our savings and required that we borrow money from family and friends who could not really afford to lend us money, but did.
Joe and I would like to pay them back and need some help. Perhaps you can help Joe and me pay this back sooner rather than later (on my stipend at the university, it would take half a year's salary to pay this all back!)
This would mean that I could also get the dental work done that I desperately need.
"You have not because you ask not." I have been hesitant to ask for help, but now I am asking.
