Sydney's Coins for Courage is an annual fundraiser that I started in 2011 to bring awareness to childhood cancer. 

I am fifteen years old and a nine year cancer survivor.  I started supporting Beads of Courage because it was a great encouragement to me during my treatments at Children's of Alabama, which included eleven months of chemotherapy and twenty eight straight days of radiation treatments.  Sydney's Coins for Courage has given me an opportunity to give back to others and encourage childhood cancer patients, their siblings, and their parents through Beads of Courage.   This year, we have partnered with the Athens-Limestone Association of Realtors to launch a program for the Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) as well.
