Hi, my name is Sydney!
I was diagnosed with childhood cancer at the age of five. I am now twleve years old and am a childhood cancer survivor. I started can annual fundraiser to encourage other childhood cancer patients during the month of September for Childhood Cancer Awareness in 2011. My annual fundraiser is named Sydney's Coins for Courage and all the funds that have been raised support an organization named Beads of Courage. This organization uses the art of glass beads to encourage children that are battling life threatening diseases. By teaming up with Beads of Courage, Sydney's Coins for Courage has been able to focus its attention on encouraging childhood cancer patients, their siblings, and their parents during the difficult days of treatments. Beads of Courage helped to encourage me during my treatments at Children's of Alabama, which included chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I hope you will support me this year by giving to my annual campaign and in doing so, we both will help encourage others battling childhood cancer! All donations are 100% tax deductible through Beads of Courage!
