Sydney's Mitzvah Project for Paws for Patrick

Hi my name is Sydney and on May 1st I will become a Bat Mitzvah.In preparing for my Bat Mitzvah, I selected to get involved with an organization called Paws for Patrick. Paws for Patrick, located in Lake Forest, IL, is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting young people with emotional support dogs to support them as they cope with mental health issues.  For my mitzvah project I wanted to work with this organization because during the pandemic I heard many stories about kids with mental health issues; each day of the pandemic I heard more and more. I can speak personally that my dog brought me so much comfort and happiness during these stressful times.
