Turning 21 is a major life event. For Sydney, a student at UW-Steven's Point studying History and Museum Studies it has had challenges beyond what any young adult should have to endure. Sydney lost her father, Scott in October of 2020 and discovered her mother, Jamie deceased on July 27, 2021. This type of shock and loss is difficult for any of us to imagine facing. Sydney is loved by her late Mom's sisters Maria and Diana, and all of her cousins and friends. She has support. But the financial and emotional stressors are far beyond what any college student is prepared to take on. Jamie is remembered by many as the server (at Harpoon Willie's and then Daddy Maxwell's) with a beautiful, gentle smile that sparkled from sky blue eyes. The community has risen to support her special girl and family, so we have created this vehicle in order to safely and securely get funds, managed by her Aunts, to help Sydney cover expenses.
