Help a Disabled Queer Girl Start Fresh

Hey y’all, I’m Sydney, a 23-year-old queer disabled girlie trying to get out of Clark County before my brain fully rage-quits.

Living here has seriously impacted my mental health. I’ve worked so hard to stay stable and build a life, and I know that continuing to live here is going to unravel all of that. I’m trying to get to a place where I can actually heal instead of just survive.

✨The Plan✨

Housing:

• Applying to income-based housing in Seattle (LIHI + Center Park)

• Rent would be ~30% of income (around $270/month)

• Living independently (loft/apartment) with in-home caregiver support

• Bringing my small emotional support dog

Support Hours:

• Approved for 383 hours/month

I need about 12 hrs/day, 7 days/week for:

• Hygiene & meds

• Meals & mobility

• Emotional regulation & safety

• Executive functioning (because the ADHD is ADHD-ing)

Example schedule:

• Mon–Fri: 8am–2pm & 4pm–10pm

• Weekends: 10am–3pm & 4pm–10pm

• (~336 hrs/month + buffer for emergencies)

Financial Support:

• Rent = $270/month (income-based)

• Applying to:

• HEN (Housing & Essential Needs)

• Seattle Utility Discount Program

• Food banks + mutual aid programs

• Open to working with a payee or budgeting help

What I Need

• Help covering moving costs (first month’s rent, deposit, basic furniture, etc.)

• Connections to care agencies, mutual aid, or disability resources in Seattle

• Sharing this with anyone who might be able to help!
