Thanks to your support Sydney Williams is continuing to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional ballerina as one of 15 ballerinas nationwide to join the elite Colburn School of Ballet in downtown Los Angeles California. (Think Julliard for kids). Over the past year, Sydney has been blessed by many opportunities. Sydney has become an ambassador for Brown Girls Do Ballet, a national organization which supports the dreams of young minority ballet dancers. She traveled to New York to study with some of the best ballet teachers in the world at the School of American Ballet and was sponsored by Motionwear. Recently, our family of five has relocated to Southern California. Once here, we have taken on the added responsibility of providing care for Sydney's grandmother and great-grandparents who are in declining health. The resources necessary to care for our family members has limited our ability to provide the typical support that we give Sydney to pursue her dreams. While Sydney has earned this tremendous opportunity, we do not want our family's difficult circumstances to impact her training and development this year, as she is very close to completing her apprenticeships and preparing to enter the professional world of ballet. Your contributions can help make Sydney's dreams come true! Please consider partnering with Kim and I on sending Sydney to the Colburn School.
