This page has been set up to help with medical expenses for my granddaughter, Sydney Bennett.  Sydney has struggled with health issues for several years now but is currently struggling with dysautonomia, a condition that causes the malfunction of the Autonomic Nervous System.  This is one of those things where she may look okay on the outside but in reality she is absolutely not okay.  She has episodes that look like a seizure or a stroke as well as blood pressure fluctuations that cause her to pass out.  It has caused her to have numerous cardiac & neurologic issues that affect several internal organs as well as her vision.  It has recently become worse, resulting in a hospital visit as well as months of physical and occupational therapy to regain strength and function of her left side.  Her neurologist and cardiologist have suggested a service dog to assist Sydney and to help her gain independence.  Contributions to this fund will also be used toward the training of her dog Mabel to learn to help and support Sydney's daily function and routine.

Sydney is a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church.  They are hosting a "singing" (as we like to call it) on Sunday, May 16th at 6:00pm to help raise funds and to lift Sydney up in prayer.  This will be a wonderful time of worship and we hope you can make plans to join us!  Since Modern Woodsmen cannot sponsor group gatherings at this time, they have graciously offered to match Go Fund Me contributions up to $2,500.  Any contributions made on this page will go toward the matching of funds by Modern Woodsmen.  Contributions made through Rocky Face Baptist Church at the singing can also go through this fund to meet Modern Woodsmen's requirements.
