Hey, friends.
My situation has suddenly gotten pretty dire. On top of my hours being cut at work, I have an entire stack of problems popping up against me now, and I'm in need of help. I don't like doing this. I don't like begging and asking for pity, but at this point, with my debt increasing and my problems only worsening, I literally have no other choice.
It started in February when we got stranded in a tiny dinky highway town for three days because my rear drive shaft went out on my car. The mechanics solution? Removing it and putting it in my back seat, because it would cost hundreds of dollars to fix. Without that part, I have no all-wheel drive, no 4-wheel drive and no anti-lock breaks. I live in the Midwest, and winter is rapidly approaching. Without that drove shaft, I can't get to and from work. I can't drive anywhere, because even now, my tires slip in the rain. It is the furthest from safe that it could possibly be, given my location.
Last weekend, upon getting my oil changed, they discovered an exhaust leak. The man there told me it could cost up to $700 to fix it, depending where it is in my engine. My gas mileage is being cut, meaning I'm paying more in gas, and that's the last thing I'm able to be doing right now.
The day after the leak was discovered, my laptop's hard drive crashed. The repair shop gave me a $100 estimate to replace it.
On top of all this, both of our cats are in need of vet visits. They've begun sneezing, and Ulysses is skipping out on the litter box, and we're assuming he has an infection. Elizabeth's eye is cloudy and hurting her, and she's lost weight. We think one or the other got them both sick.
All of this is piling on top of my $400 in personal bills per month, not to mention rent and utilities. I don't know what to do or where to turn, and it's causing both my mental and physical health to deteriorate. I can't even afford groceries, much less any of this. We were doing so well for a minute, but we can't seem to catch a break for more than a few months at a time. I'm at a loss, and I need help. I'm desperate.
