Hello! My name is Riley McKnight and I am a preschool teacher at the Sapling School! Our class, the Sycamore room, has had a passion for playing “Ice Cream Shop” since the school year began, so we decided to create our own using cardboard. After being inspired by another class who raised money at their lemonade stand, we began learning about charities and organizations that people can donate to and help causes they care about. Many of the students talked about wanting to help animals, specifically wildlife, so we looked into different organizations that help care for and protect wildlife.

We settled on two organizations:

1. Indiana Wildlife Federation

2. World Wildlife Fund

We wanted to not just help animals in Indiana, but also animals all around the world. All of the proceeds raised will be split evenly and sent to both organizations!

The students are so excited and passionate about this project that they have worked so hard on and we hope to see you at our Sycamore Ice Cream Shop!
