Sycamore Bones Album and Promotion Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hi everyone! This go-fund-me page will be utilized for funding our next album (which we’re currently in the process of and it’s sounding amazing!) as well as to provide the band with any donations for packaging the album, printing merch and developing videos . As an independent band we do not have the funding backing of a record label and live gig to gig for growing our catalog and developing a strong professional EPK.

The band is forever grateful for all the support that our fans have shown us over the last 8!years so a big thank you to everyone of you. We think we’re good enough to make it to the next level and we’ll be thankful for any continued support for us to accomplish that.

Sycamore bones was formed over 7 years ago when Andrew Massey and Cory Kinal began playing together at open mics and songwriter nights around Hickory and Lenoir North Carolina. From the beginning they focused the bands direction primarily on performing their original music, refusing to abide by what was seemingly the expectation that in order to find success a local band needs to mainly play covers. The band found regional success being booked at venues across Western North Carolina and earning the respect of the local music scene by never relenting on being songwriters first and foremost.

Sycamore Bones has changed over the years, with members moving on to other life and music endeavors. Other members have recently joined the band moving it closer to the vision that Cory and Andrew imagined while writing their extensive original song catalog. They both agree that while Sycamore Bones started out at a three piece folk band, the songs that were caught in their heads and scribbled out on cocktail napkins were never limited to that single genre.
Recorded at Tocknock studio in Lenoir, Their first EP “Lake Fever” captured the beginning of the evolving folk band. Holding steady with their harmony driven, acoustic instrument base, The album found great success receiving raving reviews and gaining radio play. Even while showcasing the album during live shows, Sycamore Bones was continuing to evolve their songs through their raw emotion on stage and the array of musical genres that have influenced the band. Punk, soul, rock, and altcountry were being portrayed onstage by their seemingly folky bluegrass front and the band knew that they needed to record an album showcasing the same endeavors.
The band is currently working on doing just that with the help of Bomb House Recording in Morganton and hope to have it release in the next few months.
