One minute I'm drinking water out of a big old water bottle I've had for years, The next my housemate slams in to me on their way to the dinging toaster oven and i get punched in the face by the water Bottle I'm drinking and now my front teeth rotate.
back in 2013 I was still recovering from my crust punk years and after a year of scrimping saving and hustling in toronto I finally was able to spend 5500 on dental implants to replace a dental bridge dating back to 1991 when Little me got her teeth punched out for the first time ever. That 5500 took me a year to scrape together and was the secret motivation behind getting the job to make the epic 50 vip party people of Toronto Church History for World Pride 2014 Mural . But the point here is my teeth getting knocked out AGAIN..
X-rays at SANDWICH DENTAL here in SANDWICH ONTARIO where I live reveal that the bone area where my teeth implants should go is seriously eroded. Dr. Sandwich dentist says that Everything must be replaced =6000$ +
I called the Doctor who made my 2013 teeth and they said my warranty does not cover this. That dental implants are supposed to be for life is the proof that I have defaulted on the warranty. Claiming that people with dental implants are assumed to get their teeth professionally cleaned 4 times a year, where I had had mine cleaned 4 or 5 times in 7 years. I had been under the impression that I was pretty good at dental hygiene :(
2013 documents say my old teeth were installed with a bone graft, from the xray it looks to me like I Assume used to occupy that empty space around the lose implant.
I solemnly swear to everyone, I bought all this extra strength tooth paste and cetylpyridinium mouth was and no more tough meats. Over and over in life I seem to keep learning that just cuz I've had something replaced with a cyborg part doesn't mean I'm new and Improved, It means I'm tinker toyed In to continued operation.
When things like this happen in an instant and suddenly It changes everything and I am faced with all my art income, for jobs that are of right now only fractionally complete, and then that all that income that was going to pay my bills in to the early summer and now its gone I owe twice as much more and the bills are still there. And I'd already been meaning to do a fundraiser this year but it was to be a kickstart to print a few hundred 19999 comic books so I could play TCAF and detroit comic book fest in 2021. Well now that my teeth get pushed 7-8 months in to the future the comic book goes a year in the future and it keeps snowballing everyday. This wasn't my life 10 days ago and now it is for the next half a year and related fall out until things even up and I can bite through apples and smile in front of people. Im supposed to be promoting a book in september! I made this Gofundme cause a bunch of my friends were like"Real talk, you don't have to do this alone its ok to ask for help"
