Naomi House
Over the past month many of us have been displaced from our homes because of the wildfire. It gives us a tiny taste of what many many people in the world experience every day.
In Winnipeg, Manitoba exists a place called Naomi House. Naomi House is ministry dedicated to refugees. It is a place the assists refugees as the try to make a new life for themselves here in Canada. It is a place where people can hope for a better future for themselves and their children. Not only does Naomi House enable them to make a better future physically, but also it is a ministry where people hear the awesome news of Jesus Christ. Most of the refugees receive a free Bible in their language and City Church is one of the most multicultural churches I personally have ever been to!
Many us received money today from our government to assist with living costs. This is far more than any refugee would ever dream of receiving from their government.
I want ant to ask you today to consider giving just a little bit to help this ministry as they strive to help people who are in desperate need of a new life both physically and spiritually!
Tim Nielsen informed me today that this money would go towards a 15 passenger van.

“Hundreds of Christians in Pakistan have fled their country due to Christian persecution. In all of the cases, their lives have been threatened. They often have to run with no time to take anything with them. Thailand and Malaysia do not require visas for entry so the families will often run to these countries, where they are allowed to stay for up to six months. After the six months, they are no longer considered legal in the country and they fear deportation back to Pakistan where they face a death threat. As a result, the families go into hiding in and they fear being in public as they may be arrested. Unfortunately, many have been arrested and they have had to sell their jewelry to pay a bribe to get out. Most of the families no longer have any money left to pay the bribes. They are not able to get medical care or education for their children. Please pray that the Lord would touch the hearts of Canadians to sponsors some of these families to Canada. We are the only nation in the world that can sponsor a family by name and bring them to Canada.
