Baby Harper Grace Platt was born yesterday 3/23/16 at 4lbs 10oz. She was born with TARS Syndrome. She has already had 1 blood transfusion with more to come.
One of the problems with TARS is absence of the radius bone in each forearm. TARS also causes a shortage of blood cells involved in blood clotting (platelets). It could be potentially life threatening.  It basically means she is a free bleeder until it is under control. Very heart breaking for herand her parents, Dustin Platt and Amanda Hanson along with the rest of the family.  It is touch and go right now. Platelets may come up to a good level and without notice just drop. She will need procedures later in life to help her have movement in both wrist/hands. First they have to get the platelets to stay at a stable level.  Lets all come together and give Harper and her family some help for her possible lengthy stay in Houston at Texas Childrens Hospital. Nothing is too big or too small.  Any amount of giving will help them concentrate on helping her get better a little easier. May God Bless Baby Harper and everyone praying for her!!
