On April 22nd, 2015 I learned that I have Metastasis Breast Cancer. It has spread to the bone, both lungs, and lymph nodes. I have already had the first treatment of Kadcyla, which after having both a PET scan and a Bone scan last week, shows to be working to bring down the size of three of the larger tumors. The bone tumor has stayed the same. I have an appointment with City of Hope down in Duarte, Ca on July 10th. I am seeing Dr. James Waisman, an expert in the field of stage 4 breast cancer. I am very hopeful that he will have some helps for me as I continue to fight hard to win this battle against a really tough cancer. I have had a really difficult time with the side effects from the treatments, and have just gotten out of the hospital after a 10 day stay. I appreciate all of your support, through prayers, notes, cards, and donations.

Hello Dear Ones,
I am still here fighting this cancer battle! I have been at this now since April 2015! Almost four years long now!
I am writing this up date and sending out this GOFUNDME link to you as a way of letting you know that we are in need of your financial helps once again! It has been a couple of years now, since I last sent out this to you asking for helps! The donations and entries are from times past! I am including them as it is part of the account. However; they are not the current totals as I have not used this account in a long time!
The Presbyterian church for the past year or so, has provided a way for people to anonymously give towards my rent but the coordinator suddenly informed me (December 30, 2018) he could longer manage it one day before rent is due. Now this is no longer available! After prayer with my pastor friend it became clear to me that I need to set up a GoFund Me account to continue donations for monthly rent here. This place we are renting is perfect for us! It is close to all of my medical needs and provides a place to come home to after each chemotherapy treatment and heal! It is SO peaceful here!
Over these last few months and weeks I have been fighting so hard against this cancer! I have had a serious blood infection, called Sepsis! Which put me in the hospital for several days! It was SO intense that I was found in ER with the ER doctor telling me that I had only a few minutes to stay around... He ended up saving me by inserting a catheter into my groin area and then giving me the medicines that I needed to fight against the infection coursing throughout my body! It worked. This ER doctor then sent me down the hill by ambulance, to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital! I was sent down to ICU! Where I ended up on the blood infectious floor! It was an intensive experience! After being in the hospital for several days, I came home to find that I was going to make it and continue on with my battle against this aggressive cancer!
I just had another PET Scan done last week! It has been almost two years since I have had one done. It is a difficult test to do, as it requires a lot of steps to get it done and done right. I have to fast the day prior. Take two bottles of Barium (one the night before) which is a horrid concoction of radioactive 'stuff'! UGH and then they fill me with nuclear medicines that light up when I go into the scanner. This is given through an IV that is inserted into my arm! Once this is all done then the testing begins! The results from this test are very positive this time. I am SO excited that after these last two years of chemotherapy treatments, there is a reduced amount of tumors now in my lungs! Yippee! Although there is still tumors! I will continue on with the chemotherapy treatments as I have been doing in order to hopefully see a shrinking of the tumors still in my body, there are less now and this is a good thing! YAY!
Thank you for your helps!
With love,
