While traveling from Seattle Wa, to Sacramento to visit family for Thanksgiving me and my children were involved in a horrific accident with a semi truck. While traveling I 5 southbound we hit a patch of black ice while coming down Mt Shasta. Our vehicle slid under a semi truck that stopped on the freeway to avoid another car wreck in front of the semi truck. We were injured very bad . My son Vernon 11 yrs of age, and my daughter Vivienne 8 both suffered traumatic brain injuries. I was knocked unconscious for a unknown amount of time. When I regained consciousness. I witnessed the most horrific scene, me and my children were fighting for our lives. Thank God we made it. My daughter has underwent four surgeries on her face and brain. We are still fighting and have a long road to recovery ahead. We are doing better one day at a time. My daughter is going to need extensive physical therapy, which medical insurance doesn't cover. My children are unable to travel at the moment, and we don't know when we will be able to return home. My daughter is still in the hospital and we are unsure of how long she will be here. With a heavy heart I ask that you please help the Thompson family during our time of need.
