My journey began in early January when I experienced pain and swelling in my left leg. After a trip to the ER we left with a diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis (my inner leg was clotted from groin to lower calf) and strict bed rest while the anti-caogulant kicked in. About a week later I started experiencing severe pain in my lower spine and sciatica areas. After several trips to the ER and specialists we discovered a nonfunctioning kidney and arthritis with pinched nerves. We were sent home again with pain meds and told nothing could be done until I was off the blood thinner.  On April 1st I could no longer stand the abdominal pain and went back to the ER. I had contracted acute pancreatitis on top of it all. My tenacious wife Annie told the admitting Dr that my spinal pain was not arthritis and requested an MRI and abdominal CT scan. These tests found thickening of the bladder wall and ureter, compression in the lower spine with marrow edema and spinal stenosis. What they found was stage IV uretal cancer that had metastisized into the bones.
   We are devout Christians and trust that Christ will use this family to reach others as our story unfolds. I am confidant that we are just a small part of His great plan and all things work together for His good as I love God and am called according to His purpose. Any funds generated will be used for treatment and family and household support while going through this period of our lives. Please pray for God's will to be done above all else.
