Hope For Malia

Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Kris, and Jodi Tetting is a coworker and friend of mine. Many of you that know Jodi well, know that she does not ask for help often.  When she does, please know that it is for a very important reason.  I knew Jodi was not being dramatic when she shared with me that she is facing is a very desperate situation that she is in dire need of financial assistance with, so I chose to help the family with setting up this page. She is asking for help to save her daughter Malia. Malia is a 15 year old girl who is currently struggling with complications from her diabetes. Jodi will be seeking treatment for her at a center in Denver.  She chose this place because she feels that it will offer Malia the very best care that she needs.  Time is of the essence and Malia will need to begin this treatment immediately - within the next two weeks.  Jodi will be accompanying Malia to Denver for admission.  This will mean flights for both Jodi and Malia.  Malia will be in-patient for at least 30 days, most likely more.  After that, she will be in a Partial Hospitalization Program for 2-4 weeks.  During that time, family is requested to be present and to participate in family days. This will mean flights will need to be booked for Jodi and her other daughter, Meghan to be present.  Jodi is fortunate enough to have a brother who lives in Denver that they will be able to stay with, thus avoiding hotel expenses, but she will need to secure transportation while she is  there.  There will also be medical expenses accruing in the meantime.  Even though she has insurance, there is a deductible that will need to be met.  The facility will also need to have a downpayment to begin treatment.

Some of the expenses that Jodi, a single mom, will need assistance with  include the following:

Treatment facility
Travel expenses for Jodi to bring Malia to Denver for admission
Travel expenses for Jodi and Meghan to go to Denver for family days
Travel expenses  for Malia to come back home
Rental car and fuel expense
Food and other miscellaneous expenses
Pet care while they are all away

Jodi feels it’s going to be the hardest to come up with funds to get to Denver and make the first payment to the center.

Let's all pitch in and take some of this stress off of her!

No amount is too little, as it all adds up. I know that Jodi will be sincerely appreciative for any donation you can give.

Hope is an "optimistic attitude of mind based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life."

Thank you!
