Dear Italian American war veterans post 40 Milford MA members and supporters, 

As everyone knows, the Italian vets is currently closed. We have limited funds to keep paying the bills to keep the post operating during this shutdown. We understand that this is a trying time for everyone. With that being said, we are asking our members and supporters if they are able to donate $10 each, if possible, through this go fund me, so that we may be able to pay all of our bills that continue to come in.  No one really knows when this shutdown will actually end. We were given the date of April 7th to reopen but that is the best case scenario. 

We have taken steps to cut costs. IE unplug coolers, TVs, keep the heat set @ a low temperature as well as our janitor taking a cut in pay. 
As the last operating Veterans post in Milford, we would love to be here for years to come. The other veteran organizations in Milford now use our post to conduct meetings and business as they have had to shut their respective posts down.
With your small donations, we can keep paying our bills as we rely on bar sales, hall rentals, fundraisers, donations and membership dues to keep us operating.
When we can finally open the doors again to our members, we would like to have a catered dinner to all those who have made a donation as a thank you.

The officers and members of post 40 Milford thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing all of you when we are able to open the doors back up.
