In 2026 The South West TAFE Tailgators are again directing our fundraising efforts from this year's Murray to Moyne towards A Big Life.
We look forward to supporting their important mission and helping to build awareness of the important work they do in working with students, school staff and families to better prepare our young people for the ups and downs of life.
A Big Life program is a collaboration between Warrnambool College, Brauer College, Grasmere Primary School Koroit & District Primary and Woodford Primary School and the Warrnambool Student Wellbeing Association. A Big Life is organic to the Warrnambool district, is a community response to our issues, aiming to strengthen our community.
Students at A Big Life schools are exposed to programs, techniques, ways of thinking aimed at building a positive & resilient mindset. As mental health / wellbeing becomes a normal part of a student’s life, mental health is destigmatised, allowing sufferers to deal without shame and amongst an understanding and helpful peer group & community.
With their futures as our focus, we can help equip them with the skills they need to navigate the ups and downs of life. We want to encourage young people to enquire, reflect on and discuss life's big questions. We want them to get the most out of every day by feeling connected, calm, clear, grateful and kind. As this discussion becomes more persistent in the minds of young people, they will begin to reframe the way they see themselves and the world around them.
