Help me get my business back after a fire.

To those who may be reading this, my name is Nick Megaro and I am an ice cream man in Bayonne, New Jersey. I am going to talk about how I started my franchise with my father. My father started working for the Mr. Softee franchise in 1976. Mr. Softee is the name he paid to keep on the truck as did I when it got passed down to me, once I graduated high school in 1983. My dream was to keep the legacy going. Now, on behalf of a hardship that had occurred this weekend with my family business, I am writing to all of you today. For the past 38 years, I was working for Mr. Softee until recently decided to part ways and open my own ice cream franchise and named it Nick’s Ice Cream. This truck was more than a job to me but a token that kept my father’s spirit alive. After his passing, I took it the hardest and I tried keeping this truck alive as much as I could. At the beginning of this season, I had just put a new motor in the truck and had painted it with the new name. On Sunday, October 3rd at 9:30 PM the truck caught on fire while I was pulling in from a long day of work. The insurance company is not giving me enough to repair the truck which is the only income for my family. I have three children and a wife, and one of my daughters is in college, so you can only imagine I am responsible for putting my little girl through school, but now that might not be possible because our main source of income has ended until further notice. My mother’s house is the house in the video that luckily with the power of the lord did not catch on fire but had gotten some damage due to the fire. I am grateful to the reader here today for taking the time to understand my background and recent hardship.
