Mary Beth's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Mary Beth broke her femur Early Tuesday morning, the bone broke on its own when she stood up. The doctors were worried about why this happened, the femur is the strongest bone in your body and shouldn't break without severe injury. She had surgery to fix the bone Wednesday, February 24. They put a plate with rods the length of her femur. Dr. Stanford removed a piece of her bone to send marrow to pathology to hopefully cancel out cancer. Being a waitress, she doesn't have disability or benefits and not a lot of money saved up. She will be off work for at least 4-6 months, depending on how the bone heals. She has applied for Medicaid since she will be getting no income, if approved, they should pay most of the hospital stay. She will need rehab and unfortunately it will not pay for that. She is a single mom who has always bent over backwards for her children, family, friends, and others in need. We appreciate all the prayers, visits, support, and love, and any donation would be greatly appreciated.
